Compartmentalization (Type 1)

Simultaneously having multiple conflicting conceptions of a topic. This is equivalent to having two separate “folders” in your brain’s hard-drive for that topic, and which one you access will depend on the phrasing/context of the question that requires you to access the information.

The distinction between type 1 and type 2 is that in type 1, there is conflicting information in the different compartments.
